Lindsey (Vocals)
Hello everyone! I'm from St. Louis, MO & moved to Ft. Collins in 2006 to finish school. I love running, hiking & snowboarding but LOVE singing! Colorado is the best state because everyone is so nice & ready to have a good time. I will graduate as a Registered Dietician & hope to own my own company one day.
Ryan (Vocals)
Hey everybody! Believe it or not, when I'm not singing and dancing, I'm a high school social studies teacher (scary!!!)
Lorna (Alto Sax)
Hello! I'm a New Hampshire native who transplanted to Colorado in the 80s. I have a degree in music and studied at several schools including Berklee College of Music in Boston. I teach private saxophone, clarinet and flute lessons and play in several groups. Archie Funker is my favorite, of course! Come on up and say hello at the next show!
Matthew (Tenor Sax)
Defunct qualifications: My feet are firmly planted by the gravity of the situation. Blue is the fundamental color of my universe and the source of my inspiration. I am merely a passing tone in search of a soul. Om ergo Sum.

So....I'm the man from Montana! I graduated from a small school in northeastern Montana called Outlook. If you think your school was small, you're full of crap! 12 in my graduating class, 28 in the WHOLE high school - four were exchange students and one was my twin brother! Therefore, I was involved in everything from basketball, track, music, you name it. I graduated from college in December of 1993 from Eastern Montana College in Billings, MT (now called MSU-Billings). I have a B.S. in Business Administration with an Information Systems option and a minor in Computer Science. I have been playing the trombone since the 5th grade and enjoy all types of music. I moved to Fort Collins in November of 1997 and have been loving it ever since! Joy!
Rick (Trumpet)
I have played trumpet since 1976, when I was in 5th grade. What a geezer! I was in the original lineup of K.C. and the Sunshine Band and payed for law school as a prize fighter. This enabled my lucrative career as a D.C. Lobbyist, but you probably know me best for my Emmy Award winning show on PBS: You & Me & the Trumpet Make 3.

You could call me “SEOUL Brotha #1,” as I was born in South Korea’s capital city before growing up in the exotic cornfields of northwest Ohio. I, too, once played a horn, until I discovered what I call “the natural ease” of playing guitar! (These guys up there on the screen above me make it look way too easy!)
Before escaping the Buckeye State to Colorado, I collected a journalism degree from Ohio University in the colorful college town of Athens, Ohio. On Sundays in the Fall, you’ll find me wearing bright orange and black, yelling “Who-dey!” Just remember that you read it here first: Cincinnati Bengals Super Bowl Champs 2010! Don’t ever say that I jumped on the bandwagon!
I grew up playing the blues (“the Three Kings,” Clapton, Derek Trucks, etc) but can’t get enough of this funky stuff! If you’ve never boogied-down to a 6-piece horn section, you’re missing out on one of life’s pleasures! Come out, grab your beverage of choice and say “hello!” I never pass up a good conversation!

I'm in my senior year pursuing a B.M. in Music Performance and Music Education at Colorado State University (CSU). I've studied with Dr. Eric Hollenbeck, Shilo Stroman, Leo Canale, and John Marella. While at CSU, I performed with the Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, Steel Drum Band, Jazz Combo I and recently was on a week long tour in Hidelberg Germany with Jazz Ensemble I. During my tenure at CSU, I shared the stage with Peter Sommer, Chip Stevens, Scott Wendholt and John Riley. In addition to a busy school performing schedule, I have recently made my mark on the Northern Colorado professional music scene. I currently perform with the Fort Jazz Big Band, Colorado Swing, Jazz Motif, Archie Funker, Awakening, and Three Shots Blues Band. I'm also active as an educator, teaching private percussion lessons at Thompson Valley High School in Loveland, CO. I've also been a guest clinician at Berthoud, Windsor, and Trinidad High Schools.

Jason (Trumpet)
Jason was one of the original founders of the band. After moving to the Denver area and becoming more involved with the music scene there (along with his music teaching job), Jason had to give up the trumpet position with Archie Funker, although he does occasionally sub in for us.
I was born and raised in Mineral Point, Wisconsin where I started playing the trumpet in 1984. After graduation I studied Automotive Hydrology (minimum wage washing cars) for a year while making $$$ to go to college. I went to college and later taught for 5 years in Iowa before venturing off to the University of South Dakota. I then moved to Colorado in 2005 and currently teach music for DPS. I love to drive, drink cold beverages, eat pizza, rap, surf the internet, and snowboard although not all at the same time. In my free time I.... uh, scratch that. I have no free time. I might be the busiest guy you know.

I was born and raised in Kaneohe, HI, went to high school in Dallas, OR, came out here to CO about 5 years ago for school and haven't left yet. I've been playing trombone since about the sixth grade, but I didn't really get into it until someone gave me a Mingus album in high school. I played in the CSU jazz band and combo for 4 years during undergrad and I still sub in big bands every now and again, but I love playing funk above all. On the non-musical, boring side of things, I'm a first year vet student here at CSU. I work at the vet teaching hospital here in the Fort doing research on feline diseases and on the weekends I work as a kennel tech at the Larimer Humane Society. I have a redboned coonhound who likes to sing the blues with me. I like sushi, orchids and the ocean. I'm trying to save the animal kingdom one dog at a time and I often get in drunken arguments about metal bands. Oh yeah, and please forgive my white girl dancing; I just can't help myself...
Mark (Bass)
A child of the 50s and 60s, I delighted in the wonderful mix of rock 'n' roll, soul, r&b, blues, pop, and jazz blasting across the AM radio airwaves of my native Iowa homeland. I got the bug to play bass guitar as a teenager and toured with a funky horn band at the tender age of 19. After thiry-five years of performing, recording, and songwriting, I still enjoy grooving on the bass guitar. Visit me at MarkDobroth.com for more info.
